“Passage” was written as a testimony to the impact of Jesus Christ in my life. I have had tangible moments in my life of experiencing the freedom of going from death to life, from feeling bound by chains to those chains being undone, from feeling like there is no way forward to seeing a clear way.

My first experience with understanding Jesus as the passage from death to life was when I was 13. I was sitting in my grandparents church when I heard the voice of God say, I am with you now, and I will be with you in eternity. At that moment it felt like a warm blanket was wrapped around me. I felt the presence of God, and I committed my life to following Jesus.

Since then I have at times felt the effects of sin and felt like there was no way out of temptation. The Lord has sense taught me that we have power over sin and can be free from that feeling of hopelessness (1 Cor. 10:13)!

Through these experiences, I can confidently sing that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. The only way to the Father is through Him (John 14:6)!
